Free Money

Recently I had an issue with PayPal which required me to ask my bank to reverse a charge made. In doing so, I effectively locked my PayPal account, and had to jump through a few hoops to regain access to their service. Part of that gauntlet of tasks was a repeat of their verification system where they make small deposits into a bank account for verification purposes. Not a lot of free money, but for my trouble, I was given a total of $0.11 for doing basically nothing.

As well, I opened an electronic bank account through HSBC as they have the best savings account interest rate available for deposits under $1000. In opening that account they too have a verification process where they make small deposits into another account. In what has proven to be a very generous gesture, they deposited a total of $0.73 into my account. For that reward I basically did nothing as well.

Finally, I was taking my trash out this weekend, and happened upon a penny lying in the alley. I have always been one to pick up any money I find as I am always grateful for a gift no matter how small. I also looked at my point rewards for my credit card, and I have achieved enough points to redeem them for a $50 check. I don't know when this money will arrive, but I didn't have to do anything outside of my normal day to day doings in order to get that money.

With that, I have brought my earnings total to $1550.90, and I am ecstatic that I have been so successful. I think about my decision to finally go out and make the kind of money I need to change my life, and I am fully confident that I will achieve my goal. I honestly have no doubts.

With that, I am going to start breaking down my earnings to show how they are being used. I don't have $1550.90 in cash sitting under the mattress at home, I am using every penny I make to attract more pennies. It is the old adage that you have to let your money work for you, and believe me, I am putting my money to work. I am also keeping my eyes peeled for any and all opportunities to make more money, so if anyone has suggestions, please let me know.

One last thing, there is a rewards program at work for referring a new employee. I have made a recommendation, and I am confident this person could be hired if given an interview. As of now, I am expending much energy in trying to make this situation come to fruition as I will be rewarded handsomely for the referral. Even more money for very little effort on my part.
